Water is the most precious resource we have, but we often do not give it the value it deserves.

Climate change has increasingly severe consequences, such as intense droughts, floods, catastrophic storms and reduced biodiversity. Approximately 2.2 billion people lack access to safe drinking water and half of the global population has no access to safe hygienic services.

In the face of these disasters and these figures, it is clear how vital water treatment and the availability of drinking water are. With this in mind, the technological solutions that the pump industry can offer, on a large scale and in the most difficult environmental contexts, become a key element in ensuring the balance of the earth’s ecosystems and the health and well-being of people.

With the aim of making a concrete contribution to the management of this complex situation, in 2021 Caprari together with Ambienta, one of Europe’s largest asset managers entirely focused on environmental sustainability, set up Wateralia.

In 2022, Calpeda Spa also became part of the industrial group, bringing its know-how and wide range of water cycle management solutions to the group.

In 2025, Wateralia further strengthened its international footprint through the acquisition of Aquatec, an Australia-based company specialized in solutions for water management and treatment, specializing in the design and delivery of integrated systems. The transaction reinforces the Group’s presence in extra-European markets and enhances its engineering and system integration capabilities.

Today, Wateralia operates in more than 140 countries, with over 1,200 employees, 6 manufacturing plants and 26 international subsidiaries, supporting the sustainable management of water resources on a global scale.
